Stewards of the Fellowship

The Stewards

The Dissidents appoint no officers. Their stewards are members who have stood with the fellowship long enough to know how it runs, and who took it upon themselves to keep it running.

What stewardship means

Upkeep, not authority

Stewards see to the everyday happenings of the fellowship: arranging expeditions, keeping the Ledger and the calendar, watching over what is held at the Safehouse, and answering the questions newer members bring to them.

They hold nothing over another member. Their word carries weight because it has been earned — when a dangerous relic or forbidden text is recovered, the stewards are the ones whose opinion is sought, and what they make of it is discussed in the open.

For sworn members

Stewards are not appointed, and no one is asked to become one. If your character has already taken up the fellowship's everyday work, you may put their name forward. Every offer is read and answered.
